Pure Foundation VS Pure Build - What's The difference?

What is PureFoundation? 

First things first, what is PureFoundation? PureFoundation is our groundbreaking universal builder gel that is a hybrid of a Rubber base and PureBuild.  

At the heart of PureFoundation, is a key ingredient that forms robust bonds with keratin – the fundamental protein in nails. This leads to dramatically enhanced adhesion, reducing the risk of peeling and chipping and ensuring your manicures are both durable and long-lasting.

It has a flexible formula, meaning it moves with the nail to prevent chipping and lifting. With no base coat required it can be used as a strengthening overlay, a builder gel and can also be used to apply our SwiftTips! Although, you may find PureFoundation Clear is best used for this.

How do I apply it?  

• Step 1: Perfect your prep 

The key to long-lasting results is in skilful prep of the natural nail, this is especially true for HEMA-Free gel products. HEMA is the monomer that enhances the adhesion of a coating on the nail plate. Higher percentages of HEMA allow for maximum adhesion with minimal nail prep. When HEMA isn't present, prep becomes more important to ensure a safer long-lasting manicure. 

• Step 2 : PureFoundation Application 

Once your prep is complete you can choose to do a layer of PureBond, this is an optional step for clients who may be heavy handed or prone to chipping and lifting, PureBond is bonding agent that cures for 30 seconds providing a tacky layer for product to adhere to. 

Next you can apply your PureFoundation, starting with a cured paper layer before applying your bead and curing for 90 seconds (on low heat mode).

PureFoundation's flexibility makes it a perfect formula for heavy handed clients who struggle with retention and wear! 

What is PureBuild 

Now you know all there is to know about PureFoundation its time to explore PureBuild. 

PureBuild is our builder gel, which is designed to help support the growth of your natural nails, add thickness to thin nails and enhance overall nail strength.

PureBuild can be used to build an apex on the nail adding structure and support. 

Made with a built in primer, we always recommend a base - either Complete Base for general adhesion or Rubber Base for extra strength and flexibility. 

How do I apply it? 

• Step 1: Perfect your prep 

As with PureFoundation, PureBuild also requires thorough prep, due to the lack of HEMA in the product.  HEMA is the monomer that enhances the adhesion of a coating on the nail plate. Higher percentages of HEMA allow for maximum adhesion with minimal nail prep. When HEMA isn't present, prep becomes more important to ensure a safer long-lasting manicure. 

• Step 2: PureBond 

PureBond is bonding agent that cures for 30seconds providing a tacky layer for product to adhere to the nail for longer lasting results 

• Step 3: Select your base

Following the tutorial you can apply your PureBuild, starting with a cured paper layer before applying your bead and curing for 60 seconds.

PureBuild is perfect for clients with longer , strong nails that need structure and rebalancing for their nails.
